BlueBridge Technologies Ltd. is seeking an electronic engineer with digital circuit design and embedded software experience. Immediate start required.

Candidate Responsibilities:

The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be the specification and design of printed circuit boards; from customer requirements definition through circuit design, simulation, PCB layout, supplier interaction, software development, product performance verification, and support to production launch. This will entail:

Review and interpretation of customer product requirements leading to requirements definition

Design of product electronics to customer requirements and international standards:

Hardware, both digital and analogue

Software code, embedded and PC based

Prototype manufacture/procurement, debug, test & evaluation, and design iteration

Generation of product design documentation for the electronic content:

Schematic capture drawing generation

PCB layout

SW design documentation, test & verification plans and reports

Manufacturing and quality documentation – FMEAs, BOMs, Test specification

Additional/other complementary responsibilities will include:

Input to the product design reviews

Customer and supplier interface

Investigation/diagnosis of technical or quality issues with client products

Analysis of and design change proposals to customer products

Project Management

Candidate Requirements:

Third level degree qualified
Minimum 3 yrs relevant work experience
Show enthusiasm and interest in new product development

Have had demonstrable electronic hardware design experience in the following areas:
Digital and analogue electronics
Sensors and actuators
Microcontrollers
Low power/battery applications, mains supplied applications
ISM RF
Serial Communications interfaces
Can show embedded and PC based SW development experience including:
Development environment setup and use
Embedded C and assembly language
PC based C, C++, C#
Visual Basic
HTML
Serial communication protocols, e.g. RS232, RS485, CAN, TCP/IP, etc
Show knowledge about and understanding of:
Product development lifecycles and methodologies
Electronic product manufacturing, assembly and test processes
DFMEAs/PFMEAs and risk mitigation methodologies
Be very PC literate in terms of standard MS Office Professional applications including MS Project
Willing to have a flexible approach to working hours as required from time to time by customer project needs and milestones
Professional in approach to work and in interaction with customers and suppliers
Be willing to travel from time to time to customer and supplier locations
Be comfortable working in a team based environment but also to be an energetic self starter and able to work with varying levels of supervision/direction
